Yoga:
For the seasoned yoga participant or the fitness buff looking to improve flexibility, our Hatha based yoga classes are for you. Basic postures, sun salutations, balance challenges and relaxation techniques are all part of each hour long class. Instructors, provided on a rotating basis, always encourage you to participate at your own pac. For flexibility, strength, balance training, stress reduction and relaxation, try Yoga.
Gentle Yoga:
A one hour Hatha based yoga class, designed for beginners and those who are less flexible. Basic postures, sun salutations, balance challenges and relaxation techniques are all part of each class. Instructors are on a rotating basis for this class.
Power Yoga:
A routine of postures that work the entire body in 75 mins. The postures work synergistically and cumulatively to return the body to a balanced state. Build energy, stamina and flexibility. Incorporate strength, challenge gravity and balance. Focus on the breath to integrate body, breath and mind. The routines, provided by three experienced instructors on a rotating basis, will give each and every practitioner (of all fitness levels) a sense of exhilaration and bliss.
Yoga with Drumming:
These classes are for kids (ages 5-12) and teens (ages 13+), taught by Sue Glass. The class starts with yoga: “settling the mind and the breath and waking up the body.” An age-appropriate combination of yogic postures (asanas) are explored. To provide a change of activity mid-class, particpants use hand drums in a drum circle. Classes will wrap up with more yoga: inversions, back bends and a cool down with savasana.
