FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS ADVANCED STEP: Need more challenge on the step? This class is for you. The music is just a little faster and the choreography just a little harder but this class will fly by and give you a great workout. *BOOTCAMP: Do you want to improve endurance, get stronger and/or lose weight? This one-hour circuit training class will boot your glutes and bust your gut like never before! No choreography, participants work at their own pace. Sessional program, sometimes Outdoors (ask). CARDIO CIRCUITS: A class that combines cardio in the form of kick box and aerobics with resistance training using bars, bands, balls and weights CARDIO COMBO: This class features a warm-up followed by 16 minutes of STEP then 16 minutes of AEROBICS. It is a non-stop class that leaves you feeling energized. CARDIO MUSCLE GROOVE: This class provides cardiovascular conditioning, combined with muscle conditioning. It is a choreographed muscle class that uses small weighted balls, stability ball and step. CORE + WEIGHTS: This one hour class concentrates on core strengthening and the upper-body. FITASTIC WORKOUT: A fun class that concentrates on muscle conditioning then encoorporates basic step patterns and low impact aerobics. It is one hour of continuous movement giving you a well rounded program with a little bit of everything and no time to get bored. This class is also designed to be a fat burner. GENTLE FIT: A fun class that starts with some muscle conditioning work then moves to basic step patterns and low impact aerobics. It is one hour of continuous movement giving you a well rounded program with a little bit of everything and no time to get bored. This class is also designed to be a fat burner. *KICK START to WEIGHT LOSS: For those 25 lbs or more overweight looking to make a lifestyle change to lose weight. It includes 30 minutes of lifestyle coaching and nutritional counseling and a 1 hour specialty fitness class. *MOMS AND BABIES: Moms bring your little ones to class and get back in shape! This is a muscle class that uses weights and simple choreography. Babies should be under a year...the heavier the baby, the harder the workout! Sessional program. MORE MUSCLE: Sculpt all muscle groups through the use of light weights, stability balls, soft weighted balls and "Dyna-bands". This class is all muscle and no cardio. The focus is very much on "core stability", balance and functional training. To increase strength and muscle tone, try this class. PILATES: A type of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920's that has become new again. Very much core training this mat work also tones and strengthens legs and upper body. Pilates is "the new exercise of the stars". PUMP and PILATES: The first half hour of this class is a group weight training class using barbells and dumbbells. The second half of the class concentrates on core strengthening. Together you will learn the proper techniques and principles designed to give you a total body workout improving your upper and lower body strength, muscle tone and bone density. *SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: This is a dance based class that will keep you moving and sweating through many different styles of dance. Each week features a different style of dance, including hip-hop, latin, ballet and jazz! Choreography is kept simple. Sessional program. STEP CIRCUITS: This step class alternates between 3 minutes of step patterns and 3 minutes of muscle work. It is a fun program that moves along quickly with no time to get bored. TURBO JAM KICKBOXING: A funky combination of kick box and Cupoiera. 45 minute boxing class with muscle conditioning added. This class will work your arms, abs and legs, and get your heart pumpin'! TOTAL TONING: A 45 minute muscle class that targets all areas. Define your arms and legs, tighten up your abs and butt and create more strength in your core. The use of stability balls, soft weighted balls, dumbbells, barbells, dynabands and your own body weight will help you totally tone your body. VINYASA FLOW YOGA: This Baron Baptiste power vinyasa flow is a faster paced and challenging yoga practice. It is designed to promote openness through your hips, and build strength and flexibility through the body while encouraging focus on breath. YOGA: For the seasoned yoga participant or the fitness buff looking to improve flexibility, our Hatha based yoga classes are for you. Basic postures, sun salutations, balance challenges and relaxation techniques are all part of each class. You are always encouraged to participate at your own pace never having to keep up with anyone. For flexibility, strength, balance training, stress reduction and relaxation, try YOGA. ZUMBA: An easy latin dance based fitness class for all levels. The simple choreography in this class will raise your heart rate providing an excellent cardiovascular workout and is lots of fun for all.
